Rob Straby understands how difficult it can be to achieve a successful work/life balance. He’s had to meld a personal life that included bereavement, managing relationships, and raising children with earning a masters degree, searching for jobs, and building a successful career.
Rob learned from his experiences and decided to use what he had learned to help others. He developed a methodical yet intuitive approach to assessing and analyzing an individual’s career goals and then constructing a realistic action plan for reaching them.
Rob finds great satisfaction in helping people find a work/life balance that lets them reach their full potential and achieve their dreams. Since 1986, Rob has helped over 3,500 people to clarify their goals and navigate a career path that lets them reach those goals without sacrificing their personal lives.
Drawing from his own life experience, from his education, and from his career experience, Rob’s work has included designing and delivering state-of-the-art educational courses; providing career development, career coaching, and job search strategies for individuals and corporations; and delivering seminars covering organizational change, team building, and process facilitation.
He has been a professor at Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario since 1995 and teaches their Career Development Practitioner Program. He also works directly with clients in his own successful online Career Coaching firm.
Rob is also a lifelong outdoor enthusiast. When he’s not working he enjoys trail running, cross-country skiing, writing Haiku, and gardening.
